WaveSense is radically accelerating the arrival of self-driving vehicles by tackling some of the most challenging problems that stand in the way of safe and reliable navigation.

Every road in the world has a unique subsurface signature. WaveSense uses radar to create a map of those subsurface signatures from which self-driving cars can navigate. Vehicles using WaveSense are unaffected by common but challenging road conditions like snow, heavy rain, fog, or poor lane markings.

We're looking for a sharp, driven, and organized senior technical program manager to play a leading role in managing the delivery of large cross functional projects. This is an opportunity to help deliver on mission critical autonomous vehicle and assisted driver programs and define processes that WaveSense will use going forward. In this role, you'll be responsible for management of programs, projects, and deliverables to company and customer teams.   Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to support some of the leading companies in autonomous vehicles and assisted driving as they integrate WaveSense into their product. This role is critical to WaveSense's near- and long-term success.



  • Hands-on program management with a highly focused and skilled software and hardware teams 

  • Create and implement processes to enhance team productivity and communication

  • Communicate project risks, progress, launches and retrospectives across all stakeholders and teams consistently and transparently

  • Develop technical requirements, product roadmaps, and resource plans

  • You're energized by both improving internal processes and engaging with customer teams

  • You’re comfortable thinking about the big picture and the small details.

  • Rapidly innovate to test and discard hypotheses.

  • Low ego: you take your work seriously but can laugh at yourself 

  • Enjoy working with small, high output teams in a fast paced startup environment.

  • A “get-it-done” person. You know that done is better than perfect and are energized by constantly delivering and moving things forward.



  • Proven results from establishing and optimizing engineering processes for different organizations or environments

  • Familiarity with common project management software, tools, and methodologies 

  • Top notch verbal and written communication skills, including significant customer facing experience.

  • 8-12 years or more experience in technical program management, including some experience in a production environment

  • Bachelors degree in technical field



  • Masters in engineering related field or equivalent knowledge and experience

  • Experience in automotive, manufacturing, and RF devices
